A few minutes ago, I looked out my window, and saw the moon.

Then it hit me; I am on the surface of a planet, looking up at something thousands of kilometers away, reflecting the light of something that is even farther than that.

Scale is such a funny thing. We think the world of our problems, whereas we're really, really small.

Take a moment, look out your window right now, and think about it.

Is it really worth worrying about?

  1. If you could drive your car straight up, you'd hit "space" in a little over an hour. Makes you rethink "space" a bit, doesn't it?

    1. Well, it makes me rethink how far we really are from actual space, but the funny thing about space is that there's quite a lot of it.

So, in essence, I drive up for an hour or so, and BAM! Now I have the infinite expanses of space to explore. Assuming the oxygen deprivation or pressure doesn't kill me first. :P

But, yes, it is a very interesting thought. Thank you for that. :)

  2. Where's your moon now
